Ooh la la. They’ll be the first words that roll off your tongue as you step inside the retro wonderland that is Tiki La La. A divine blend of vintage goodies and hard-to-find pieces, the new store has brought some chic flair to Ettalong markets. The brainchild of local stylist April Cartwright and her muso partner Heath Crawley, it’s a must-visit for anyone in search of something a bit special or that wants to makes a serious style statement. From handwoven hessian hanging baskets to chic threads, old records and delicate jewellery, it’s a beautiful collection of all the bits and bobs that can’t be found in just any old store. With her love of fashion, April curates the clothes, and Heath is in charge of all the vinyl. This is the place to find a bargain pair of old school Levi’s or pick up a one-of-a-kind gift for a loved one with double the sentiment but half the price.

Behind the glass French-style doors of Jachavela Lifestyle Store is a mother-daughter team combining their multi-gen style to craft one of the most classy and chic stores on the Coast. Mother Yana and her daughters Ella and Jasmine work seamlessly together to create a new retail offering that combines beach babe vibes with sophisticated, contemporary design. Dressed to perfection, Jachavela is a feast for the senses – a hive of artisanal, amazing and mostly Australian made pieces. The new store on the main street of Ettalong also offers quality, custom-made treasures.

Across the road at Salmon and Co you’ll find a small boutique-style floristry offering everything from pretty posies to next-level succulents and cacti, as well as divine trinkets for your home or garden. It’s named after the lady who owns it, Miss Salmon, who happens to also love peach-coloured fish. Pop in for a gift for a friend, or treat yourself to some beautiful blooms.

Homegrown homewares brand Blonde Onyx has brought some style and sass to Woy Woy with a sweet home decor store on Railway Street. It’s a minimalist setup that packs a classy punch with tousled throw rugs, vintage ladders and boho chic cushions. You might recognise the name from the vintage caravan that used to park up at Coast 175 Ettalong on summer weekends.

With some of the most divine items of clothing you’ll ever see in the one place, La Boheme is the epitome of sophistication and style. The beautiful bohemian brainchild of Terrigal hair guru Renee Marshall and her Aloe-loving gal pal Steph Davies, the boutique is the Coast’s newest luxe lifestyle destination. La Boheme has breathed new life into the old antique outpost on the Scenic Highway between Avoca and Terrigal with a fresh coat of white paint and some earthy touches like terracotta plants, exposed wooden beams and Moroccan tiles. Shelves and hangars have been filled with feminine frocks in must-have colours like chalk pink and dripping with fun tassel textures. Allow plenty of time to immerse yourself in this boho chic mecca.
